Welcome to our practice! I am a Board-Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who’s passionate about providing exceptional surgical care with the same dedication I brought to my 21-year military career. As a proud Philadelphia native and lifelong competitor, I’m committed to delivering precise, compassionate care so you can achieve quality oral health in a calm and reassuring environment.
My approach to oral and maxillofacial surgery is built on the discipline and perseverance I developed throughout my athletic and military careers, combined with a genuine commitment to patient care. Having served our country for over two decades and retiring as a Colonel, I understand the importance of precision, reliability, and putting others first. Whether you need dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, or office-based anesthesia, I take the time to ensure you feel comfortable and informed throughout your treatment. My clinical interests focus on providing comprehensive surgical solutions while maintaining the highest safety standards. Having deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, I bring a unique perspective on handling challenging situations with calm confidence.
Beyond surgical procedures, I’m deeply committed to staying active and connecting with our community, bringing the same energy and enthusiasm to everything I do. I chose oral and maxillofacial surgery because it allows me to combine precise surgical skills with meaningful patient relationships, helping people overcome complex challenges while maintaining my trademark approachable manner.
Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons and dental specialists, Dr. Goodove and Dr. Zagursky manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Our doctors practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. Some additional examples of specialty care we offer include but are not limited to: diagnosing and treating oral pathology, facial trauma, TMJ disorders, and Sleep Apnea.
Should we participate with your insurance benefit plan, we will collect your estimated co-payment at the time of surgery. In addition, we will also require a complete financial guarantee to be kept on file. This financial guarantee is completed in the office and retained until your account is fully settled.
We will send you a monthly statement so that you are aware of your account status. Most insurance plans remit final payment within 4-6 weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility.
