Dr. Lena Abu-Najem, DDS

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest in the greater Seattle area, I earned my Bachelor of Science (BS) in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Washington before completing my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Washington School of Dentistry.

I then moved to the East Coast to pursue advanced clinical training, completing a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Brown University Health, where I trained at Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. During this time, I developed a strong interest in the surgical aspects of dentistry, leading me to pursue an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery internship at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, which included training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. I went on to complete a four-year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I served as Chief Resident during my final year.

My training has provided extensive experience in a broad range of oral & maxillofacial surgery, including pediatric and adult surgery, facial trauma, emergency surgical care, and anesthesia and sedation. I am committed to providing thoughtful, individualized care and creating a comfortable and reassuring surgical experience for every patient.
